The Arrested Fake Soldier
Lagos State Police Command has arrested a fake soldier in full military attire, at the Ijegun area of the state.
The fake soldier had been on the wanted list of the military.
Mr. David Hundeyin, a Superintendent of Police, who is the State’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), said the suspect was nabbed during a routine visibility patrol, along Fagbile Estate, Ijegun Isheri Oshun.
He said the suspect, who was bearing the name Sgt. Major Femi Balogun, who was in full military regalia, had been linked to so many crimes which were under investigation.
He said, while in the police custody, the police contacted the military guard commander in charge of the pipeline in Ijeododo, who sent some of his men to the station and identified the suspect as fake. The military said he had been on their wanted list.
