Let Me Wash Your feet for Greater Things -Prophet Omoto Fufeyin

Washing of feet is a prominent event that features as part of the programme of the year, “December 2 Remember Season 2; also known as King Solomon’s Club which primary lessons are humility, love and service.

Washing another person’s feet reminds us that we are involved in helping others to be spiritually clean.

The above, were the quotes of Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin, General Overseer of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry, Warri, Delta state, Nigeria, during this year’s church December 2 Remember 2.

The two-day event starting tomorrow, Tuesday,17th and Wednesday, 18th December, 2019 with the morning session at the Pool of Bethesda and evening session at the mountains in Mercy City daily will be one of the great things to ever happen in one’s life.

According to Theresa Moses, the church’s publicist, the Tireless General as he’s fondly called say: “Let your spiritual father with high anointing than you wash your feet for higher grace. Washing of feet is for Spiritual promotion that will reflect in all spheres of ones life. In the gospel of John, there is a story of Jesus washing each of His disciple’s feet at the Last Supper. John 13:1–17 mentions Jesus performing this act. Specifically, in verses 13:14–17, He instructs them:

14 “If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet”.

15 “For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you”.

16 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him”.

17 “If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them”.

Jesus’ choice to wash the feet of His disciples was to make a point about humble service towards others. When Jesus washed the disciples’ feet, He told them (and us), “For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you”. (John 13:15).

“As His followers, we are to emulate Him, serving one another in lowliness of heart and mind, seeking to build one another up in humility and love. When we seek the superiority, we displease the Lord who promised that true greatness in His kingdom is attained by those with a servant’s heart as written in Mark 9:35; 10:44. When we have that servant’s heart, the Lord promised, we will be greatly blessed as we read in John 13:17”.

“Washing of feet is a mystery or parody of a popular Jewish purification ritual. It fosters Gods practical love shown to the world through his disciples. It shows not only the washing of the feet but also of hands, face and the head. It depicts the supernatural power of the holy or anointed water and the cleansing, washing and wiping of the face with a towel.

“It symbolizes the father-son relationship, shows a loving humility of feet washing. This will be reenacted by the servant of God, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin to exhibit the practical instruments of God. It ends sometimes with the holding of hands and sealing with a ‘holy kiss”.
