Mompha Dissociates Self From Bobrisky’s Alleged Immoral Act

Social media influencer and celebrity, Ismaila Mustapha popularly known as Mompha, has debunked rumour of being in secret, unwholesome and immoral relationship with the popular cross-gender, Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye, a.k.a. Bobrisky.

Mompha made the clarification in response to a statement attributed to one of the Bobrisky’s Personal Assistant (PA), Kyme Oye, who claimed during an interview that Mompha and Bobrisky were into amorous (dating) relationship.

 Mompha described such statement as fake news, Libellous, spurious, baseless, unfounded and baseless.

Mompha, in a statement titled  Re: Rumour Of Mompha And Bobrisky In A Secret Affair, Setting The Record Straight”, issued by his lawyer, Ademola Adefolaju of the Law Firm of Lords and Temple, warn Kyme Oye and every other person acting/spreading such fake news, devised to destroy his reputation or cause disaffection between hin and his loving wife, to desist from such acts forthwith, as he will not hesitate to deploy every means necessary to defend his person and integrity at the appropriate forum.

The statement reads in part: “We are Solicitors to Ismaila Mustapha (a.k.a Mompha), on whose instruction we write in relation to the above subjectOur Client recently brought an interview granted by one Kyme Oye, the Personal Assistant to Idris Okuneye (aka “Bobrisky”) to our notice. 

“In the said interview, Kyme Oye alleged that our Client and Bobrisky are in a relationship (dating). This statement is not only false and untrue, but defamatory in every material aspect.

“It is true that our Client, being a social media celebrity and a philanthropist, is a popular person and loved by many people, hence his network of friends across all works of life both within and outside Nigeria.

“Though, our Client knows Bobrisky like every other social media or public influencers he has connections with, but our Client does not have any private or secret relationship whatsoever with Bobrisky beyond being friends on social media. This spurious, baseless, and unfounded allegation of a relationship between our Client and Bobrisky is nothing but tissue of lies devised to defame and ultimately destroy the reputation of our Client.

“Considering the nature of the allegations, which has been confirmed by many news media and the likely damage it could occasion the marriage and reputation of our Client, we wish to set the record straight that:1. Our Client is a married man with a loving wife and adorable kids;2. Our Client is a family man and devoted Muslim, who believes strongly in the ways of life of Prophet Muhammed (S.A. W) and the Prophets;3. Our Client is wholeheartedly committed to the ethos and sanctity of the institution of marriage and will not embark on any acts inimical to his marital vows (including same-sex rubbish);4. Our Client is not a gay nor a proponent of same-sex relationship, which is both anti-Islam and unlawful in Nigeria;5. Our Client does not have any private or secret relationship either with Bobrisky or any cross-dresser whatsoever;6. Our Client is a role model to many people who look up to him for mentoring and advice; 7. Our Client is a law-abiding citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and will not involve himself in any act (same-sex relationship), that is prohibited by law”.

“Although, it should be noted that the said spurious allegation has been debunked by Bobrisky vide a live instagram session with Daddy Freeze, which was also reported in the PM News online of Saturday 25th September, 2021, we however, deem it proper, important, necessary and pertinent to make this clarification by setting the record straight considering the plethora of calls and messages from the family, friends, and teaming fans of our Client.

“It is this premise that we hereby call on the general public to ignore the said spurious and baseless allegation as our Client, being a family man detests such act(s), which are contrary to the ways of life of a faithful Muslim, and the ethos of institution of marriage and the laws of Nigeria.

“We therefore wish to sound a note of warning to Kyme Oye and every other person acting/spreading this fake news, devised to destroy the reputation of our Client or cause disaffection between our Client and his living wife, to desist from such acts forthwith, as our Client, being a law-abiding citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, will not hesitate to deploy every means necessary to defend his person and integrity at the appropriate forum.

“We also wish to use this medium to specifically call out Kyme Oye and every other person acting/spreading this fake news to consider this a final warning as a repeat of this incident targeted at the integrity and/or personality of our Client in the eyes of the general public, will be treated as deliberate and intentional, and ultimately render such purveyors of the baseless story liable in damages to our Client in the Court of law.

“Consequently, we challenge any person who claims to have information on the said private and/or secret relationship between our Client and Bobrisky to come out with their evidence.

“We like to reiterate that our Client is a man of honour, dignity and good standing both morally and religious-wise, and will never engage in acts forbidden by the Almighty Allah and the laws of Nigeria. Signed, For: Lords and Temple, Ademola Adefolaju, Esq”.
