Nigeria’s Interior Minister, Honourable Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has been lauded by many Nigerians over his highlighted key promises that would transform the Ministry of Interior and its agencies which has now gone viral on social media.
Reacting to a post on the prominent blog, instablog, where seven key Promises were highlighted by the Honourable Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo
Bifixit technology_ng commented, “We know him, he is Mr. less talk, more action. He is tech savvy and he’s bringing on board a rich background in tech that will drive innovation in the Ministry of Interior, the renewed hope is here” he concludes.

The key promises laid out by the Minister are; Development of technology to enhance border security; Removal of bottlenecks in the acquisition of passports and other immigration documents; Tackling insecurity and effective protection of critical national assets and infrastructures; Ensuring the timely passage of the New Fire Act; Correctional service reforms (Reformation and re-integration of inmates and decongestion of correctional centres in line with AGJS and so on); Improved emergency and fire response time and Provision of quality leadership for the timely actualization of the mandates of the Ministry of Interior in line with the Renewed Hope agenda.
The Honorable Minister talked about harmonisation of national identity using SPOC mechanism, “We will ensure there is a Single Point Of Contact (SPOC), which is complete integration, harmonisation and management of national identity as a major means of crime mitigation, control and national development.
