Prof. Grace Alele-Williams, Nigeria’s First Female VC, Dies
Professor Grace Alele-Williams, the Nigeria’s first female Vice Chancellor, has died.
She was aged of 89.
Alele-Williams gained prominence after she was appointed the vice chancellor of the University of Benin in 1985.
A distinguished Emeritus Professor of Mathematics, she was also the first Nigerian woman to get a PhD.
