Dr. Raymond Osho, the Chief Executive Officer of Biopath Medical Laboratory, has stated that medical outfit is more  committed and determined to bridge the cap between the rich and the poor in the area of medical screening and diagnosis, in order to save more life.

The Biopath Medical Laboratory’s CEO stated this on Wednesday, during the commissioning of its newly acquired office, located at 175, Ikorodu Road, Lagos Nigeria.

Biopath Medical Laboratory commenced operation in 2014, in a one room apartment, as an accredited diagnostic and screening center licensed by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) to carry out routine and specialized laboratory investigations.

Dr. Osho while responding to questions from journalists, stated that the new office was opened in order to adequately bring medical laboratory services closer to the people, at affordable rate.

According to him, “It is quite unfortunate that many Nigerian lives are put on danger because of the absence of state-of-art Medical facilities. Sadly enough, many lives are lost within the lacuna of medical consultations, examinations, diagnoses, prescriptions and treatment”.

He stated that over the years, Biopath Medical Laboratory has over a decade experience in core healthcare financing and risk management, noted that Biopath Medical Laboratory, which was founded in 2014 is one of the few but highly rated Diagnostic Agencies in Nigeria that are running on sophisticated medical equipment.

He also stated that laboratory tests and screening exercises are carried out at affordable rates at the Laboratory as they also offer HMO Consulting Services to private individuals and corporate organisations, he noted that the ultimate dream of the organisation is to move from a Second-Tier to a First-Tier Laboratory.

“After six years of sacrifice and hard work, Biopath to the glory of God has grown from a mini room to a fully compartmentalized and accredited medical laboratory with the state-of-the-art equipment ranging from haematology to clinical chemistry, immunoassay, microbiology, serology, imaging among others.

“Our preventive screening packages have grown from just pre-employment to over six different packages including food handlers screening, hotels and hospitality screening, routine medicals, nanny screening, drug abuse screening, hepatitis B vaccination amongst others.”

While the official opening was used in sensitizing of the Nigerian populace on the establishment of the quality and well-equipped medical laboratory and business partnerships with reputable affiliated laboratories within the 36 states of the federation, the firm also announced the arrival of its new branch in Abuja.

“Our organisation has the capacity to conduct tests from any state across the nation”.

 “The Biopath Laboratory is renown for its great reliability, expediency, integrity and accuracy,” he noted.

Also speaking at the event, Dr. Peter Akindeju, the Group Managing Director of ICS Outsourcing Limited, states that the yearning of the Nigeria populace to access medical diagnosis, was what prompted the investment in Biopath Medical Laboratory. 
“It’s possible for the rich to seek medical diagnosis anywhere of the world. And for the crystal yearning gap of our population, there was a need that we responded to by investing in Biopath Medical Laboratory”, he said.

Also speaking at the event, Mr. Femi Olatide, Biopath Medical Laboratory’s chairman, said the newly acquired venue center was as a result of tireless consultation, high level of commitment and great deal of sacrifice, which he said required a great deal of patience and perseverance.

Mr. Olatide also went the memory lane on our the firm stated in 2014 with a room apartment with only two clients, but thanking God for making it a 2nd-tier Laboratory.

He said though, the journey is still far, but he is of the firm believe that with so much commitment and focus, the firm’s objectives will be achieved.
