Youths To Hold Interactive Session With Ex-Polaris CEO, Abiru

As part of moves to further endorse and and familiarise Mr. Tokunbo Abiru, the immediate past Chief Executive Officer of Polaris Bank Plc, who is aspiring to become Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial district, youths in the district are holding Zoom meeting between his team and the constituents in the district.  

The meeting according to the organizer, under the auspices of Lagos East Senatorial Youths Strategic Mobilization, will be an interactive session between Team Abiru, Students, Youths and other resident of the district.

Abiru’s senatorial ambition, on Sunday, August 30, 2020 got a further boost following the endorsement of his aspiration by youths and Students from Lagos East Senatorial District.  

The objective of the meeting according to a statement issued and signed by Comrade Fagbodun Oluwadamilare and Barrister Ademola Adefolaju, the group’s Convener and Secretary respectively, is for Mr. Abiru to familiarize and meet with organized Students,Youths and formidable organizations.

Both Comrade Oluwadamilare and Barr. Adefolaju, also maintained that considering the level of Mr Tokunbo Abiru experience and exposure, he will definitely have good plans on various projects ranging from investment opportunities, massive infrastructure and ensure diversification of Nigerian economy are geared toward strengthening the Lagos East and ensuring fast paced development

Before his endorsement by the various Youths and Students groups under the umbrella of Lagos East Senatorial Youths Strategic Mobilization, prominent party stakeholders and leaders in Lagos East including the State Chairman of APC in Lagos State Alh.Tunde Balogun have endorsed Mr. Tokunbo Abiru as the APC’s consensus candidate, ahead of the bye election slated for October 2020.

The youths group, has also in a meeting held in Epe on Sunday 30 August 2020, stated that they had consulted widely and critically assessed the credentials and antecedents of everyone who showed interest to  represent Lagos East  in the Senate and had decided to endorse, support and Vote for Mr.Rotimi Abiru.

They stated: “We are confident that he (Mr Tokunbo Abiru) will always be a true and audible voice to push our people’s interest and by extension the interest of Lagos State at the Senate.

“We therefore call on every progressive minds from Kosofe, Epe , Ikorodu and entire Lagos East to support this noble agenda in our collective interest. More also, the need to put Lagos East on a fast lane in the areas of infrastructural, socio-economic development made us settle for Mr Tokunbo Abiru, for full potential of Lagos East have not been realised and there are little or no investment opportunities for the people of the district”.
