Ex-Commandos Release Programme For 2020 Reunion

The old students association of Command Day Secondary School, Maxwell Khobe Cantonment, Rukuba, Jos, Plateau State  (Formally Rukuba Military Cantonment), popularly called Ex-Commandos have released programme of event for their 2020 reunion which promises to be the biggest and best event of the year.

The old students association popularly called Ex-Commandos, through her president, Mr. Ibrahim Uduans, while revealing the programs for 2020 Reunion to the journalists, appealed to all sets to redeem their pledges and come all out enmasse to make the reunion a success.     

The association’s president also explained that the reunion celebration was aimed at celebrating the school and students who have contributed their quota in nation building thereby encouraging the younger ones to take a queue.

According to Uduans, documentation will commence on the August 3, 2020 and last till Friday August 7, which will entail picking up of your delegate cards/ reunion t-shirts. Noting that a desk office will be open in the school premises for this purpose during the reunion week from 8am to 4pm. Those paying for hotel accommodation will have their t-shirts and delegate cards on their beds on arrival.

“On Friday, August 7, we shall be having a dinner party/AGM starting by 4pm, during which we will be holding our elections, awards and other events to spice up the night. This will strictly be a formal event. Dress code: Formal. After the AGM we shall have our welcome party at the hotel venue premises. Time: 9 pm, Dress code: Casual. The reunion proper takes place on Saturday 8th of August 2020. Dress code: strictly reunion t-shirts” he said.

Mr. Uduans also reminds members of the association’s vision statement which states: “The Ex-Commandos association will be a dynamic member-focused organization, driven by common values and directed towards supporting the social, intellectual and spiritual needs of all present and future Alumni of CDSSJ.  While its mission statement states: “The Ex-Commandos association will achieve this vision through its mission, this list of our mission is not exhaustive but it should give us an idea of what we hope to achieve by coming together under one umbrella.

“To advance CDSSJ by connecting Alumni to one another and to the school through meaningful programs, benefits, services and communication. To synergize and harness our individual capabilities for the welfare of all members and for the interest of our alma mata. To keep all Ex-Commandos conversant with the programs and activities of CDSSJ. To provide financial support to the school and it’s program. Develop members program that foster fellowships amongst members and encourage the physical, moral and spiritual growth of the school. Assist the school in the growth of its academic, administrative, cultural and extracurricular activities; and to establish a lifelong relationship amongst Ex-Commandos”.

Command Day Secondary School, Jos has produced many students who made great marks in chosen carrier, academics, politics, sports, administration and various spheres of life as a result of increasing demands for the quality education received. It worthy to note that some of its members who are in the military have fought the Boko Haram insurgency in North East Nigeria and other peace keeping mission across the globe.
